What Protein Should I Take?

There are so many options when it comes to proteins.  People always ask me is there really any difference?  The answer is absolutely.  There are many different protein sources commonly used in powdered supplements.  Your protein could be coming from wheat, soy, rice, pea, whey, beef, casein, or any combination.  Some proteins are good for a snack, but not good for after workout.  Some digest more efficiently than others and the quality varies tremendously.  With all these variables one might find themselves asking “How do I know which protein is right for me?”  The reality is that most people don’t.  Hopefully the following video will shed some light on proteins and help you figure out what you need.

One of the most common questions in the store is what do I need to take.  My typical response is that there are lots of things that would be beneficial and it really depends on how much money they want to spend.   I will frequently list supplements out and rank them in order of importance and then work off the list with the customer’s budget.  In this blog my intention is to give you the basics on supplements and which ones everyone should take ie. protein, vitamin, glutamine, and fish oil.
